​BCCI Central Contracts: Shreyas, Ishan Reinstated After Previous Exclusion

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled its central contracts for the 2024–25 season, bringing notable changes and fresh inclusions. Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan make a comeback after being excluded in the previous cycle, while several emerging talents have been awarded their maiden contracts.

BCCI Central Contracts 2024–25: Full List

The BCCI has categorised players into four grades based on performance and participation across formats. Below is the grade-wise list of all the players

Grade A+ (₹7 crore annually)

The A+ Grade players get the ₹7 crore annually from the BCCI to play for India. The star and experienced players of the Indian cricket team, Rohit and Virat, retained their place in this category. Along with them, the hero of India’s T20 World Cup win, Bumrah, and star all-rounder Jadeja also got a place in Grade A+.

Grade A (₹5 crore annually)

Grade A players earn ₹5 crore annually. In this list, batters KL Rahul and Shubman Gill, and Rishabh Pant made their place. All-rounder Hadik Pandya, along with pacers Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami secured the spot in this grade.

Grade B (₹3 crore annually)

Indian T20I cricket team captain Suryakumar Yadav has been given Grade B in BCCI’s 2024-25 central contract. Along with him, Kuldeep, Axar, Jaiswal and Shreyas also secured the spot in Grade B. Shreyas Iyer has been reinstated in the BCCI central contract list after previously being dropped due to disciplinary reasons related to non-compliance with board directives.

Grade C (₹1 crore annually)

A total of 19 players made their place in Grade C. The big name in the list is Ishan Kishan, who was also removed last year from the central contract, like Shreyas Iyer, due to disciplinary action. Here is the list of all the players of Grade C:

Players Excluded from the 2024–25 Central Contracts

Several players who were part of the previous contract cycle have been omitted in the latest list:​

• Ravichandran Ashwin: Retired from international cricket in December 2024.
