WPL 2025: All You Need to Know about Season 3

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) schedule has been announced, which is going to start from February 14. the fist match will be played between the defending champion of season 3, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) against Gujarat Giants. The game will be played at Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara. Just like the last season, this year also 5 teams will compete for the trophy where the final game will be played on March 15.

WPL 2025 Teams and Format:

Similar to the previous two seasons, this year 5 teams will also compete for the trophy. Along with the defending champion, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Gujarat Giants (GG), Mumbai Indians (MI), UP Warriorz (UPW), and Delhi Capitals (DC) will be other teams of the league. 

In season 3, a total of 22 matches will be played. Each team has to face the other team once in the league. The top 3 teams will be qualified for the knockout matches. The top team after all the league matches will directly qualify for the final, while the 2nd and 3rd place team will play Eliminator. The winner of the Eliminator competes with the finalist in the final. 

WPL 2025 Schedule

The league is scheduled from February 14 to March 15. The first match of the league will be played between RCB and GG on February 14. The Eliminator game of the league will be played on March 13, while the final game will be played on March 15. All the matches of the league will be played at 7:30 IST and there will be no doubleheader during the league. Here is the complete schedule of the league:

The WPL has shown significant popularity since its first season. The fans bonded with the league from the very first season. The first season was won by MI Women, who registered their name as the first winner of the WPL. The second season of the league was more exciting, where RCB Women clinched the title, defeating the DC in a thrilling final game.
