How was the Early Life of Vaibhav Arora?

Vaibhav Arora was born on December 14, 1997, in Ambala, a well-known city of Haryana. He belongs to a middle-class family, and his early life was not around cricket. He used to help his father in his childhood in delivering the milk to the household. Later he developed an interest in cricket, for which he had to fight many battles, even at home. To continue his cricket passion and complete higher studies, he moved to Chandigarh, where things changed in his life.

Domestic Cricket

Vaibhav’s first-class career started in 2019, when he played his first match for Himachal Pradesh. In the very first game against Saurashtra, he showed his game power when he took 9 wickets, including the wicket of star Indian batter Cheteshwar Pujara. He was the leading wicket-taker in his maiden season for Himachal.

In 2021, he played Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Himachal and again took the most wickets for his team. This outstanding performance of this young pace bowler attracted everyone including the IPL franchises. 

IPL 

KKR was impressed with his talent in domestic cricket and bought him at his base price of ₹20 lakh for IPL 2021. However, he did not get the chance to play a single game in the season. The next year KKR released him, but it came out as an unexpected benefit for him. 

In the bidding war against IPL teams, he got the prize of 2 crores and sold to Punjab Kings for IPL 2022. There he played 5 games in which he took just 5 wickets. The below-mark game of Vaibhav forced Punjab to release him, and he returned to KKR for IPL 2024 for INR 60 lakh. In this season he played 10 games and took 11 wickets. This performance helped KKR to lift the cup of IPL 2024. KKR again bought him for INR 1.8 crore in the mega auction for IPL 2025.
