Updated Asia Cup 2025 Schedule: Check Out the New Dates
The biggest tournament of Asian cricket is back. The Asia Cup 2025 cricket schedule is out, and this time it is going to be more thrilling with games held in T20 format. Just like always, cricket fans across Asia are all set to enjoy some thrilling matches between top teams like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and more. Let’s break down everything you need to know — from format, host, schedule, to past winners — all in one place.
Format of This Year’s Asia Cup
Asia Cup doesn’t always follow one fixed format. It keeps changing depending on the year. Last time in 2023, it was played in ODI format, so this time in 2025, it’s going to be played in T20I format.
The format is simple and the same as the previous T20 Asia Cups:
- Group Stage – All 8 teams will be divided into two groups: Group A and Group B. Teams in each group will play against each other once. From each group, the top 2 teams will go to Super 4.
- Super 4 – In this stage, the 4 qualified teams will face each other in a round-robin style. Every team plays 3 matches here. The top 2 teams at the end of this round will move to the final.
- Final – The final match will decide the winner of the Asia Cup 2025.
