Champions Trophy 2025: Teams, Format, Schedule, and More
ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is back after 8 years. This year the tournament will be played in a hybrid format. All the matches will be played in Pakistan except India’s games. India’s matches will be played in Dubai due to security concerns. With the 8 top teams competing for one prestigious trophy, the tournament is going to be fire. Champions Trophy 2025 Teams and Format
Just like each season, this year also a total of 8 teams will participate in this tournament. Along with the host Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and New Zealand will play in group A. In the group, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and arc rivals, Australia and England will play.
All the teams will face each other once in the group. The winning team will get 2 points while the losing team will get 0 points. The 2 teams in each group with the top points and net run rate will qualify for the knockout games. The top 4 teams clash in the Semifinal to secure their spot for the final game.
Champions Trophy 2025 Schedule

Note: If India, Reaches to final, then the Final will be played in Dubai. If India does not qualify for the semifinal, then the first Semifinal will be played in Pakistan.

Indian Team for Champions Trophy 2025
India’s announce their squad for Champions Trophy 2025. Here Rohit will lead the team and his co-opener, Shubman Gill will be the vice-captain of the team. Kohli and Iyer will play on numbers 3 and 4 as key batters.
Rahul and Pant will play as the keepers in the team. Pandya, Jadeja and Axar are selected as the all-rounder for India’s Champions Trophy squad. Here Kuldeep along with Sundar handles the spin department while Bumrah will lead the pace attack with Shami and Arshdeep.
Due to the injury, Bumrah may miss the Champions Trophy games. If this happens, management can go with Siraj or Harshit as a replacement. The team is looking balanced and mostly the same as the team of the ODI World Cup 2023.
